Digital Marketing and Public Relations for Law Firms

Home Digital Marketing and Public Relations for Law Firms

Toppe Consulting is a law firm marketing agency that provides digital marketing and public relations for solo practitioners and small law firms across the United States.

We started in 2015 in Greenville, South Carolina, because we saw how often small firms were left with two poor choices: an agency built around large retainers, or a do-it-yourself site that looked like every other firm’s. We built a third option, with journalist-written content, honest pricing, and one team that handles every channel.

Today we work with law firms across the country on websites, search visibility, advertising, and earned media.

Law Firm Marketing Agency – Meet the Founders

Jim Toppe — Founder

Jim Toppe brings the business and legal side of our work. He holds a Master of Science in Management from Clemson University and teaches Business Law and Marketing at Greenville Technical College. Teaching business law keeps him close to the rules that govern lawyer advertising, so every site we build is reviewed against your state’s advertising rules before it goes live. Jim has more than 10 years of experience in digital marketing and previously served as publisher of South Carolina Manufacturing. He focuses on websites that are easy to find, easy to trust, and easy for a worried visitor to act on.

Joe Toppe — Founder and Content Director

law firm marketing agencyJoe Toppe runs our content and public relations work. He is Managing Editor at PropertyCasualty360, where he leads coverage of the U.S. property and casualty insurance market, including liability, claims, litigation trends, and workers’ compensation.

Before that, Joe was an Associate Producer and Writer at Fox Business Network. His coverage included Nvidia’s AI-driven earnings as the company crossed a $1 trillion market value, GM’s $10 billion share repurchase after the UAW strike, and Senator John Kennedy’s effort to stop the SEC’s Consolidated Audit Trail database. His byline has appeared on Fox Business, the New York Post, Yahoo Finance, Sky News Australia, and MSN, and Fox television affiliates in Chicago, Tampa, Atlanta, Seattle, Austin, and Houston have run his reporting.

Earlier, Joe was a Senior Business Journalist at Capital.com in London, covering global markets for an international readership. As Managing Editor of Innovation and Tech Today, a nationally distributed newsstand magazine, he produced cover interviews with Ricky Gervais, Dave Bautista, Paris Hilton, and Ralph Macchio. He holds a Master’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Kent State University.

That newsroom background shapes everything we publish. When Joe pitches a story for your firm, he knows what reporters need because he has been on the receiving end of those pitches. When his team writes your content, facts get checked and sources get named.

How Our Law Firm Marketing Agency Connects Every Service

Each service we offer is built to support the others. That way your website, search work, advertising, and press coverage all describe the same firm and point clients to the same place.

Digital Development

Law Firm Website Development is where most prospective clients form their first impression and decide whether to call. New Law Firm Website Design gives attorneys opening a practice a site that is ready on launch day, with packages starting at $1,000. Law Firm Website Maintenance keeps your site updated, backed up, and secure for $199 per month.

Search Optimization

Law Firm SEO builds the practice area pages, local presence, and technical foundation Google looks for. Law Firm Answer Engine Optimization structures your content with clear, well-sourced answers AI tools can quote. Generative Engine Optimization for Law Firms covers the crawler access, indexing, structured data, and consistent firm details that platforms such as ChatGPT and Gemini rely on.

Firm Messaging and Public Relations

Law Firm Strategic Messaging and Brand Positioning defines what your firm stands for and how it speaks. Law Firm Content Writing turns that message into journalist-written pages and articles. Law Firm Public Relations puts Joe’s newsroom experience to work pitching your attorneys to reporters. White Label PR for Law Firm Agencies offers the same editorial work to agencies under their own brand.

Digital Marketing

Law Firm Google Ads puts your firm in front of people searching now, for a $1,000 monthly management fee plus ad spend. Law Firm Social Media keeps your profiles current and consistent with your website. Law Firm Graphic Design gives your logo, cards, and branded materials one consistent look.

Artificial Intelligence

Law Firm AI Receptionist Services answer calls and inquiries when no one is at the desk. Every other channel we manage is built to get a prospective client to reach out. The AI receptionist is designed to make sure that call or message gets a prompt response, day or night.

Why Law Firms Choose Our Law Firm Marketing Agency

We built this agency around two things that rarely come from the same team: digital marketing that helps clients find your firm, and public relations that gives them a reason to trust it. Both run on content written by a working journalist and reviewed against your state’s advertising rules.

For a solo attorney, one good client from a website can change the year. That is why we price every service for firms that watch every dollar. You get a clear quote upfront, with no hidden fees, no pressure, and no long-term contracts. New firms can start with a website and add marketing later. Established firms can combine services into one plan. Either way, we build the package around your situation.
